SOLAR ECLIPSE WEATHER ABOVE AVERAGE WARMTH RETURNS – Good morning folks. A front has quietly dropped down through the NYC area without any fanfare, but what will be noticeable is a shift in winds and slightly cooler temps today; highs in the low 80’s.

As quickly as that front came through, it’ll bounce back as warm tries to fight back. This will result in humidity increasing slowly throughout the day, increasing clouds late, and then a slight chance of some showers overnight.

Tomorrow, the main batch of precip will head our way, but most of the energy will go to our north. We’ll wait to see if any waves develop along the front. If this happens, we could see some gusty showers and storms throughout the day and into late evening. Highs tomorrow will be a soupy upper 70’s to near 80.

If things clear out early on Saturday, we’ll make a run to near 90° with westerly winds helping to heat things up. However, if there’s a delay in the front’s exit, we’ll see mid to upper 80’s. Either way, it’s going to be a beautiful day and a preview of what’s to come.

Sunday, Monday, and for now, Tuesday, are looking sunny and very warm. Mid to upper 80’s are expected on Sunday and Monday, then we take another run to near 90 possible on Tuesday with increasing humidity.

For the eclipse on Monday, we couldn’t ask for better weather. Just remember, one badly placed/timed can ruin everything, but with mostly sunny skies, we have a better than average chance at getting a full view of our solar system at work.

The tropics remain active as far as several active waves in a daisy-chain across the Atlantic, but so far there is no development beyond wave-status. We’ll keep a close eye on all of these prospects and see if there’s any development.
