HEAVY GUSTY SHOWERS TODAY HEAT RETURNS TOMORROW – Good morning everyone! People of the  NYC metro area are getting free car washes and hands-feee watered lawns and plants thanks to a batch of heavy showers moving through the area. We should have a decent break in between before we watch and see if another wave forms to bring us another round of gusty showers and storms later today. Highs today will be a very humid upper 70’s to low 80’s, with sun and clouds in between the two batches.

Things will be slow to clear out juice-wise tomorrow,  but the heat will be on. Look for a slight chance of a thunderstorm and a humid day accompanied with upper 80’s before we begin to dry things out in the evening. We clear out fully on Sunday and the heat remains, but it’ll be a dry comfortable heat; highs in the upper 80’s.

Upper 80’s and partly cloudy skies continue for Monday during our solar eclipse. Then we have a repeat performance on Tuesday, but we’ll notch up the humidity.

Tropical Storm Harvey will remain a non-issue for us and it looks to be nothing more than a nuisance for lower Caribbean shipping lanes, then the lower Yucatán. We’ll continue to keep an eye on a few waves, but there are no immediate concerns.
