HAPPY SOLAR ECLIPSE DAY – Good morning everyone and happy eclipse day. We’re all adults here, so I won’t be talking about eclipse safety. Anyone with good common sense knows not to look at an eclipse because it’ll melt your face off and the face of your unborn for 3 generations, so just be careful.

We’re looking at partly cloudy skies today, courtesy of high pressure and a very thin veil of high clouds. It’s possible that these high clouds may pass, and give us a perfect viewing window early afternoon before another bank of clouds move in. Highs today will be near 90 for the NYC area.

Tomorrow we crank up the humidity and heat for highs in the low 90’s and a rather uncomfortable day. It looks as if our cold front passes through overnight Tuesday, which means a greatly diminished chance of severe thunderstorms. We’ll have one more warm day in the mid 80’s Wednesday, before seasonable to slightly below normal temps return Thursday onward.
